How LAFE handles your data.

Summary

LAFE collects the minimum information needed to run the website and the companion app. We do not sell personal data. We do not share data with advertisers. We use a small number of standard third-party services for analytics, email, and content delivery, listed below.

What we collect on the website

• Anonymous analytics. Page views, browser type, referrer, country-level location. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not set tracking cookies.
• Email address, if you subscribe to the launch list. We use it to notify you when the app launches, and nothing else.

What we collect in the LAFE app

The LAFE app, when launched, will collect additional information necessary to deliver its features. This includes account information you provide, places you log or save, and approximate location when you use location-aware features. The app's privacy policy will be presented at first launch and is a separate document.

Cookies

We use functional cookies only. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or third-party tracking cookies.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links on this website and within the LAFE app are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and complete a transaction, we may receive a commission from the partner. This does not change the price you pay and does not affect our editorial recommendations. Editorial decisions are made independently of affiliate relationships.

Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email support@lafeworld.com. We respond within 30 days.

Data retention

Email subscribers' addresses are retained until unsubscription. Analytics data is retained for 26 months. App data retention will be detailed in the app's privacy policy.

Third parties we use

• Vercel. Hosting and content delivery.
• An email provider. Launch list delivery. Disclosed when finalised.
• A privacy-respecting analytics provider. Aggregate website analytics. Disclosed when finalised.

Children

LAFE is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We will update the last-updated date at the top of this page when we make changes. Material changes will be communicated by email if you are subscribed to the launch list.
